RPO Jammu observes Swachhta Pakhwada to raise awareness of hygiene, cleanliness – The Dispatch

While hinting this, NK Shil, Regional Passport Officer and Regional Director, ICCR, J&K and Ladakh said that during Pakhwada, several cleaning and disinfection activities of all premises, furniture, tables, chairs, floors, stairs, computers and all technical equipment etc. have been undertaken with particular emphasis on “the absence of the use of single-use plastic”. Passport Office staff cleared the nearby Gandhinagar hospital complex. Additionally, a special drill was conducted to settle open cases, clear old files, and remove old condemned items from the store. Besides during Pakhwada, RPO also organized the various internal competitions

on the theme “SWACHHTA” All the staff of POs, TCS and families enthusiastically participated in the contest. Participants also made quoted banners and posters relevant quotes to create the desired awareness among visiting candidates, staff. In addition, face masks, gloves, soap, sanitizer, etc. were also distributed to visitors and support staff.

While delivering a speech on the webinar held on the occasion, Sh NKShil RPO highlighted the harmful effects of dirt and the good effects of keeping the environment clean and urged everyone to raise awareness and ensure good health and good hygiene by raising awareness of safe and healthy cleanliness and environment. , personal health, hygiene and good practices in the workplace, including hand washing on cleanliness outside of physical distancing, including precautionary protocol related to Covid-19. In addition, he reiterated that the sole objective of the exercise was to raise citizens’ awareness of the cleanliness effort and to solve the problem of sanitation and waste management, to better dispose of waste and to ensure nationwide hygiene and sanitation facilities.
