Area hairstylists and beauticians are invited to attend a virtual domestic violence awareness session.

Organized by North Wales Police, ‘Would You Make the Cut’ gives industry employees the opportunity to learn about the dynamics and effects of domestic violence, hear real stories from survivors and get tips and tricks on what you can do to help.

The aim of this session is for victims of domestic violence, police and domestic violence specialists to provide key information on how health and beauty professionals can give advice and where to report clients whose they know they are suffering from domestic violence.

The last session, held in October 2020, was very popular and received great feedback.

PC Mike Taggart, Domestic Violence Strategic Officer in the North Wales Police Vulnerable Persons Protection Unit, said: ‘After numerous inquiries about further training in the beauty industry , we will organize another session that everyone can attend. We look forward to seeing you all there!”

There is no limit to places and North Wales Police encourage as many people as possible to attend. You can join the session on Monday, March 21, 2022, from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. via Microsoft Teams. Join the conversation (
